kind of a strange leak

thank goodness
it appeared when we were at the desert
we had left our trailer out there last trip out
then on this trip out
we were in the trailer when some rain started
all was well and fun for a while
until
water all at once started pouring down inside
just above the kitchen window
I made it outside fast so as to inspect why
the rain gutters were full of little twigs
I removed and the leak inside stopped
seems that if the gutters were full of debris
the water should have just flowed over top of gutter ??
anyway
heading back out next week
so as to spend some time and bring trailer home
anyone else had leaks do to gutter problems ??

i just repaired mine the beginning of april. our gutters would get full of pine needles and when it rained the water would seep inside the walls and drip down through the door and window frame.i took the rubber strip out of the metal trim that holds the roof fabric and removed all the screws. (about a third of them were rusty). i replaced each one,putting a dab of sealant caulk on each. i made sure to snug each one tight as i put them back in. i guarantee you if you remove that rubber strip,and check the tightness of the screws,you will probably be able to tighten each one at least a half to a full turn. so far through one rain i i have not had that leak.

no,just pulled out the rubber strip that is right behind and above the gutter. even if you only tighten the screws it would probably help eliminate the leak. and the rubber strip is easy to put back in. i definately would also check all the roof caulking.

3 screw holes were empty -- no screws
nice little holes to let the water run in
