Question Kitchen Faucet and Aerators

No way to make this long story short - sorry. In our new Puma 32RKTS, we had good water pressure in the bathroom sink and shower. Kitchen was weak. No kinks, no valve issues, etc. I assumed the aerator had debris in it, so I removed it and found that it had two additonial screens inside it. While debating whether to just remove one or both, I noted that there is another aerator about 1/2 inch up inside the faucet. Assuming that it was either a duplicate or that it had debris behind it, I started trying to remove it and really only succeeded in shredding it, but now I can see yet another one up behind it!

So, I now have better pressure, but wild spray, which makes me wonder if I should have left everything the heck alone!

Wide open for your suggestions please!

I have never heard of a aerator being up inside and not removable on a faucet. I think would replace the fixture with one that would allow for periodic maintenance without fixed aerators.

I had the same thought - but I'd have to be a damned contortionist to get in behind there and install it.

I'm hoping to get that aerator out and see what happens.

It's a darned fine mess I've created!

And Seadog - looks like we have a lot in common.

I'm retired from the AF.

And I also have a friend named Hiram.

All the best to you my brother.
