Kitchen faucet leaking. Not even a year old

My kitchen faucet is leaking and flooding under my sink. Not even a year old. Who do I need to contact for a warranty faucet? Thanks.

My trailer is a 300x12hp. Thanks.

I would not file a warranty claim but go to your local hardware store and purchase a real faucet set and not one made from plastic. Did you check to see if the water fittings are tight under the sink. This might be the problem and not the faucet.

I would not even bother with calling the dealer for this, just not worth the hassle.

Go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy what ever faucet you like and replace the cheap thing you have running water on the floor.

Easy swap but you do need to be part contortionist..

You don't say where it is leaking, Check the connections. Try tightening each one by hand. If they were not tightened properly during assy, they can work loose.

Also check drain plumbing. I have to tighten P trap every few months. It starts leaking from time to time, but store my trash can there. So I don't get to excited.

Thanks guys. I checked fitting 2 times. Still leaking. Added Teflon tap and screwed in... Still leaking. Leaking up inside the housing that the hoses connect to. Brass housing maybe cracked. Not sure. But I'm gonna tear it apart and see what the heck.

It is aggravating but I'll probably just go buy one and change myself. It is tight fitting inside that covey hole.

It is not the pea trap or PVC, it is definitely the faucet.

I had a similar leak under my sink last summer - not much, just a slow drip from time to time. Removed, tightened and re-tightened the connections to the faucet but still couldn't stop the leak. I finally had enough and replaced the faucet with a regular one and, while I was at it, cut off the original pex piping and installed individual shut-off valves complete with braided supply risers. Afterwards, I disassembled the original trailer faucet and found a broken o-ring at the supply connection. If I could have seen that from the beginning, I probably could have got away with just replacing the o-ring but most of the time I was working by feel. My advice is to go ahead and replace the cheap plastic trailer one with a quality one from your local hardware store.

Yes yours is Not a "Every Day" plastic Pull out unit like installed in Most F/R units! Is it Metal? If so let the Dealer "Supply a New One" it appears Yours is a Upgrade! Youroo!!

The hot and cold hoses are sealed with an o-ring and not by threads up inside of the valve body. If you can spin the hoses clockwise, it will reseat the o-rings. If you are able to break it down to the inside of the valve body, you will see what I mean.

I was able to unscrew and rescrew back into the body. But it kept leaking.

Welcome to RV living. I replaced my kitchen faucet with a metal one from Lowes, took the old faucet and receipt into the dealership and they wrote a check for the faucet. My motorhome was less than one year old.

That faucet is not cheap to replace. May be a cracked solder joint at the valve inside the faucet. If so probably not repairable. You could hook up to water supply now you have it out and maybe see more.

I have had to replace the kitchen faucet in ever RV I have ever owned. Plastic faucets do not hold up.
Also, check the water lines and make sure they are not stressed. I have had to re-run or relieve the stress on the lines where they were forced to go in a hole and it stresed the connection. If they are stressed, the connection will leak regardless of how tight it is. I have done all this in both Keystone and Forest River RVs - kitchen and bath faucets. Just expect it.

I had the same thing. The dealer fixed it because it was not a year old also.
It's a simple fix they told me what to do if it happens again. Mine happened they said because of my sink being on the slide out the sink hose drags every time the slide is opened and the plastic gasket came loose. There is a door frame under the sink that comes off so you can get to the hoses.

Thanks guys. I am certain it is coming from the copper solder joint from the spray nozzle and/or the brass valve body. It is not the water connections to the faucet. It up inside the faucet itself cause it's leaking down the hoses from above.

I unscrewed both and tried to reseat but no go. I called my dealer and am awaiting the service manager call back.

Yep, that looks like a higher end faucet and I would have the dealer replace it if they're close by. You didn't say where you are and if freezing may have caused a crack. I've had that happen even after doing a good winterizing.

As you say that the faucet is just a year old. Try repairing it first in order to understand what the real problem is. I had a similar issue way back at home and I had to called brothers plumbing Plumber Toronto, Plumbing Contractors | Brothers Plumbing Company to fix the faucet. Here are some diy steps that you could follow : Firstly make sure that the water supply is turned off.There will be screws that mounts the handle to the stem unscrew those and then remove the handle with a flat-head screwdriver. Any oil can help in loosening the faucet handle off the stem. Use the wrench to loosen the packing nut.You will be able to see the stem remove that as well. Then inspect the O-ring and the washer inside the valve seat, they could be a reason for the leak. Remove the washer and then put a replcement inside the seat. When you are doing the repair though make sure that the replacement washer and the O-Rings are an exact fit. If you are unsure about that you can just check the seat to see whether the sides fit a cone shaped or a flat washer. Then carefully reassemble all the parts .It should be in the order of washer/O-ring,stem,packing nut,screw and the handle.Slowly turn the knob to test the running water and check whether is it leaking again.If the problem still persists then you may have to buy a new faucet.
