kitchen faucet replacement

I am replacing the camper's kitchen faucet and the water lines are a touch too long. They are plastic. Cutting them would not be great because they would stress from side to side the new faucet's connections. So my question is: can I use household faucet connnection extensions to attach to my plasic lines - and then to the new faucet? The connections would be: plastic water lines with plastic fittings, to flexible extensions, to brass faucet connections. I guess my concern is mixing metal with plastic. Any advice would be appreciated. The camper is a Grey Wolf 26dbh. Thanks.
