Question Kitchen Sink Drains

Have discovered an issue in our 28RKSB kitchen sink drains. We were finding standing water in both sinks and on investigation found that the trim rings on the drains were actually 1/8th inch above the level of the sink. Tried to tighten them down but to no avail.

Anyone had a similar problem and if so how did you solve the issue. I know that drains from the 'big box' stores or normal plumbing shops will not work as the sinks in an RV are much thinner.

Any help will be appreciated.

There should be a thick rubber washer on the bottom of the sink that compresses when the drain nut is tightened, if not there you can probably pick them up @ Lowes or HD. The camper sinks are not any thinner than a stainless steel sink for a house.

Found the issue - the rubber washer is between the trim ring and the sink - not where it should be. Will make a trip to HD or L and see if I can get just that part - if not I may replace the both basket drains entirely.

Guess it must have been a new guy doing the assembly the day this unit was built.

Found two drain baskets at Lowes. Decided to just replace the entire assemblies. A real easy fix and now the water should really drain out and not be dammed up by the too high drain basket rings.
