kitchen sink slow drain

Strange issue with kitchen sink.

This is on a Wolf Pup 16FQ we just bought in Aug of 15' been out camping only a few times and this issue has been steady from the beginning but i forgot about it until our last outing.

OK on with the symptoms, when using the sink if you run the water slowly (only one side open) every thing works fine but if you run it on full (both hot and cold) or dump some water in the sink it will drain very very slowly. It has a under the counter vent which is tight against the bottom of the counter. I actually had to remove the cap to get the vent out of the pipe. With the vent removed the problem still persists, and water will actually flow out of the top of the pipe if the level in the sink is above it.

Have you removed the trap under the sink to see if there's something caught in it?

If not, while you have it out either take a picture down the drain pipe or use an inspection mirror to look down it and see if you see anything.

The trap is clear. I will try to take a picture down the drain, that is a good idea.

It might be that the hole was never actually cut out all the way in the tank and is obstructing flow. Now that is just a wild guess on my part in any case let us know what you find.

Do not know if it will help but had same issue with our Sunseeker
Talked with factory and they suggested a 2 or 3 " rise on the front
We did this with wood blocks and it corrected the problem
Seems as if they did not get the proper incline when they set the piping
Hopes this helps

Looks like there's some glue or something near the bottom of the piping. That may be the problem.

This is what I am thinking, they way over glued all of the joints.

It should be under warranty, so I think I'd let the dealer know what you've found and have them fix it.

Now, if you want to try and fix it, you may be able to remove the sink and run a root cutter head on a snake down the pipe and clear it out.

This is what I a going to do. Went down and got an appointment. Every one down at the dealer seems to think the builder over glued every thing and there is a bunch of glue at the bottom of the pipe.

Sorry for the delay in resolving this post, I am in the process of selling my house and buying another.

So the problem turned out to be that the drain pipe was all of the way to the bottom of the tank with barely any clearance to let the water into the tank. Toilet was actually plumbed the same way. Both fixed under warranty.
