I have a new Wildcat and every time I open the drain cap to dump it I get a cup or two of gray water. I thought maybe a drain valve wasn't closing all the way or a bad valve. I called the dealer for service on this and they said this was "normal". That water lays in the pipes and when it moves it works out to the drain cap. Is the normal? Should just put a valve gate at the end of the drain and call it quits?

The seals could be a little dry elind.
Try putting a gallon or more of water in your grey tank after dumping.
Don't leave "any" of your tanks completely dry between trips.

I'll try that because the 5er sat empty tanks for a year before we put it into use. My dealer seems to try hard but some of their answers . One was the story that using a gas refer when traveling is ILLEGAL in Michigan.

Put another valve on the end and a clear elbow and then the cap. That way you can see what is waiting on you.

OC, That was plan B for me. I've the clear 45 elbow already and pickup the valve Friday when I go in for service. Gray water isn't too bad but black water......NO WAY.

I don't know about being Illegal in MI, but leaving the gas on for the refridgerator while travelling certainly is a major hazard when stopping to fuel up. Many travel stops I've been to have signage to turn off all LP gas at the bottle before filling up with gas. The heat and open flame can ignite gasoline fumes.

Mine did that aswell.Took it too the rv shop and they had to take my under belly off and replace the valve.
Fixed that one .
Now my galley valve is doing it .
Always something !!!!

Here we Go agin? Turning off the Propane will NOT stop his Gray Water Issue! Youroo!!
You are lucky it's the gray water, I have the same problem with the black. It's on a new 27rr. I have had the same problem on a couple of other campers but not when new.
