I guess you can ask users of Round Up weed killer how they feel about that...All I can say is from my observations, and pumping my septic tank every 3-4 years...my tank has been healthy and effective with limited use of Liquid Plumber, bleach in laundry and bathroom cleaners, and anti-bacterial hand soap. Just had it pumped again this week, still no problems after 17 years with same system. I'm guessing the 1000 gallon tank those small amounts had no deleterious effect.

Likewise but 5000 gallon tank. Never heard of such a small tank as 1000 around here.

Pump at 10 year intervals. No solids in tank because everything is dissolved

Love roundup

Jokingly of course[emoji16]

1000 gallon tank here that EVERYTHING goes into including laundry (bleach) and drain cleaner.
No ill effects in 20 years and never pumped but I'm going to guess our real world experiences won't count. Never do.

Almost 20 years for me and never pumped(not bragging). I do have a pump/tank w/360 ft of field lines.

Well...I just looked it up...1500 gallons for a 5 bedroom house. Not sure where I got 5000 gallons from. Just had mine replaced last year before I sold my house. Was expensive.

Lol. My ex grandmother in law called me one night...water in floor. I determined water heater and I had to turn off water from water source heat pump(HP assisted WH)to stop flow. The heater was 200 gals...talk about sales pitch. The cost to replace WH was $4000.00 smokers plus the original cost(lasted 10-12 years). That was a money saver.

Stay away from Water Furnace brand.

I mean how hard is it to clean a drain mechanically. There’s probably not more than 10’ run to the tank in a 26’ trailer. Go under the sink, disconnect the p-trap, shove a snake down the drain until it hits the tank. You can pick up a $20 drum snake at the box stores.

grease

I like the way Nomad 297 thinks. As a kid, my dad added vinegar to his greasy bowl of chili to cut the grease, seems to me that a coffee pot full of boiling vinegar poured in after a dollap of liquid soap would do wonders.

Try Drainbo. It's enzymes. Works well. Or I also use citric acid and some boiling water. That is also good.
