long term odor control for black tank

I use a powdered chemical from Thetford for my black tank, it states it is supposed to work for up to seven days. When I dump my tank and go home I add water and chemical but my trailer sits a lot longer than seven days. Is there anything out there that is good for long term.
Thanks, Chuck

Hmm? I camp seasonal. Sometimes I don't get there every weekend. I do not have issues with smell. Yes I leave my black tank closed. I need to flush and clean about every 3 weeks of use. Add the deodorant/cleaner at that time, it says 7 days as well. Maybe it is because I always leave an inch or 2 water in the bowl? Are you having an issue with the smell? Maybe it just needs a better cleaning before you sit until the next trip? Good question and I just babbled on without answering.....

We don't run the bathroom fan until done flushing (flush, turn on fan, wash hands, turn off fan). We use lots of water and dish soap or just tide, we're not using any of these 'fancy' chemicals.

How warm is it there.
The chemical is sensitive to heat.
The hotter it is the less it will last.
I use a product called Pure Power Bio Pouch.
Works very well.
Never had a problem even in 90 degree heat.
