Low Point Drain Stuck

This is a picture of my low point drains.
The cold water drain on the left will not close fully so there is a leak underneath the camper. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I assume trying to repair that valve is going to be tough. With a pex crimp tool that whole valve could easily be replaced with something better.

Pull the metal retaining clip (looks removable), and pull and clean the valve.

I had a set of stubborn valves at one point also there was calcium buildup in them from when I drained hot water tank and they needed lubing. It took one time to clean it out so that they can seat and then one time to lube it and never had to touch it again in 10 years

As noted above the little metal clip slides away from the valve and you will be able to pull the entire valve out of that socket. Be careful not to lose the little clip because it is the only thing that holds the valve in place. I use needle-nose pliers to grab the u-shaped metal clip.

I used faucet valve Lube it's like (NSF Silicon Grease) from hardware store.

My old kayo had those kind and did that you have to wiggle it a little. It's lime there's a short pin that has to fit in a hole at the bottom of the valve. Kind of rock it slightly eventually you'll hit the recess

X2. It is possible that the valve was pulled open too far and got past the clip retainer. Pull the retainer, push the valve closed and er-install the retainer clip. First trying this, if it works, is so much easier than changing the valve.

X3... you can pull the clip and remove the pin (water pressure off of course) and check for debris/issues.

I had a SOB with those and I often had to twist the handle while pushing to get the pin to go all the way closed.

You asked and Members made suggestions. Did any of them work? Did you get this fixed? Please let us know the rest of the story.

I have one that is not working also. With these suggestions I will try to fix it. I thought I would have to replace it but because the low point drain is under the bed in the MH and not where I like to drain the tank when parked at home, I added an elbow and length of white hose to take the low point drain over to the outside wall near the dump valves. I installed a hose end shutoff and fastened it to the bottom of the wall. Now I can attach a hose to the the shutoff and direct the water to where I want it. Going out to the MH right now to see if I can fix that valve. Although I will still leave it open.

Be aware that if you've added extra piping and a 2nd valve, leaving the 1st valve open, you will now have water in the extra piping. If this piping is under the MH and not kept warm, it can freeze and rupture if you camp in freezing weather. Of course, if you do get into freezing weather, just close the 1st valve and drain the new piping by opening the 2nd valve.

No. I leave the low point drain valve open that is located under the bed. On the bottom of the drain (pex line) that goes through the floor, I got under the MH and connected a hose and clamped it so it is water tight. The hose runs over to the side of the MH and it has a hose end shut off valve on the end that now becomes the low point drain. As long as the shut off is closed, it is water tight and no way for anything to get in. The only time the shut off is open is when I am draining the fw tank.
Draining the extended hose is on the winterizing list. It ends up with a little antifreeze in it. If I am out in below freezing temps I will close the inside valve and drain the hose.
Also, I did as others suggested and removed the clip on the lp drain valve and pulled the spool out. I sprayed some water in the valve body and reinstalled the spool and clip. It does now close with a click like it is supposed to.
