Lightbulb Manufacturers - Please read this feedback

To any Manufactures / Reps that read this site, Be advised that RV owners are oh so tired of RV bathrooms with a too small sink faucet! I keep reading over and over how people hate the small reach and spout height of the "standard" faucet that most of the non "high end" models use. I have had to change the faucet on my current camper, as well as the previous one for the same reason. Is it really too much to ask that if you are going to use a "econo" plastic faucet, that you could at least spec one that has a bit more height and reach?
Really, come one.....these things are mass produced and easy to make, it is just a case of the RV Mfg sourcing a better spec! This is one of those minor things for a RV builder to do, but a real pain for the average RV owner to change out.

Power jacks, awnings, slides, etc, but you can't put in a user friendly bath sink faucet?

I encourage anyone purchaing a new RV to make it part of the deal that the dealer has to change out the orig/useless bath sink faucet. Maybe if enough dealers get push back from the end use customer, they will start complaining to the manufactures.

I know most RVs are built fast and and at low cost, but sometimes just a little bit more attention to the small things like this can make a big difference.

Who's with me on this?

Sadly, there are many BIG issues I wish they would address first.
They cut corners everywhere so we can buy an "inexpensive" camper.
If everyone got what they wanted, there wouldn't be any $20-30,000 campers.

I'm with you!
What bothers me more than the size of some faucets is the separate hot/cold. Really??!!
They can't slip in a single lever faucet? Really?!
The hot gets to the faucet so you turn it way down and turn on the cold and get a nice temp. Then the pump cycles and there goes the temp. The hot gets hotter the cold is getting colder and as the pump cycles you have to keep trying to remix........
Really?!
I just carried that 5 gallon bag of water from 200 feet away.... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...........
and there it goes down the drain............
Really?!!
and now I get to carry a bucket of grey water 200 feet.........
Really?!!

I concur. First things first like frames, general quality control (no one should have a brand new camper leaking b/c someone forgot to calk an area), stereos installed upside down, electric fireplaces not installed correctly....on and on from what I read. Maybe put some funds into education and training of employees and more quality control checkers (this would require education also).

I don't consider a $30,000 trailer as 'inexpensive' I bet the profit margin is huge especially when sourcing lots of parts from off-shore.

My 2013 Sunseeker 3170 came with a HUGE bathroom sink! I was shocked! However, I miss the HUGE shower I had with the model 3120. My 3170 has a computer desk which I LOVE, but that customization made for a compromise on the size of the bathroom.

I don't mind the separate hot/cold faucets.

Well, it is.
Considering a similar camper would have been $30,000 20 years ago, and considering that they are all built by hand, by American workers, they are relatively inexpensive today.
So something has to give. In this case, it is the quality of components.

Too true; same logic applies to "need 1/2 ton towable 35 foot 5th wheels" and complain about light weight construction. <sigh>

If the profit margin was even "large" we wouldn't have had so many companies go out of business during this last recession.
