Mystery - intermittent water heater & black tank heater

We have been living full time since March. 2017 Columbus. All of a sudden our water heater does not come on after the hot water is used. I can manually use One Control touchpad and turn it back on. Sometimes it stays on other times it shuts off. It has been 25 degrees at night so I was turning on the black tank heaters also. They react same way. We have done some troubleshooting but no answers. The dsi works the same way. Seems like there might be a relay not working but multiple systems involved. Any suggestions? Its a Suburban SW10DEL.

Sounds like the remote system is turning them off after they've been turned on, since multiple items that run off it are affected.

Is anything else that's controlled by the remote system affected?

I'm afraid that this is something that's going to be hard to diagnose.

You aren’t kidding! Funny thing they stayed on all night last night. It has been down around 24-27 degrees at night I am wondering if its cold temps. The control board is on an outside wall in bedroom - we had awning out & small heater keeping it warmer last night.

It could be that the controller is affected by cold weather. I wonder of you could warm and/or cool the controller and see if that replicates the issues?

The one Control / MyRV system use a module called the Tank monitor, not only for tank levels but to control the water heater and tank heating pads. Based on what your reporting I would suspect this module to be causing the issue. Check the connections (power, outputs and the 2 CAN bus cables) to be sure that are making solid connections.

Do you know where those are located? I think you are correct.

No I do not in your unit. I would suspect somewhere near your power dist panel and batteries.
