Need small water pump to pump gray water to blue boy.

We work it out so we never have to use the blue boy for black tank but use it for gray water when we stay for more than 2 days at campgrounds that don't have sewage. Many times the location of the camper drain valve and the layout of the ground makes it difficult to get the full blue boy to the back of the vehicle to drag to the dump. Anyone use a small water pump to get the water to where the blue boy is hooked to the vehicle? At most a 30 foot run using a garden hose.

I do not do that but the best way would be to simply buy a cheap electric power drill and use a drill pump like plumbers use to drain out hot water tanks. they are very small and simply attach to a standard drill. Basically a simple paddle wheel design.

I wonder if you had the blue boy in the bed of the truck if that drill pump would work to pump the gray water uphill.

Yep. That is what I was thinking. Should work out well for very little investment.

Might last longer, take off the clamps and install a 4 pin connector and plug it into your TV.

Good ideas on the drill pump and the electric pump. I am leaning towards the electric because it would be my luck (read: carelessness) to have the drill run down and then I am out of luck. Thanks everyone!

Another option may be to use the sewer cap that has a garden hose hookup and use a short piece of hose (just used for grey water) . I'd think the bit of pressure would get the water to the blue boy. Maybe not though?

I have the HF pump and use it to refill water tank from 6gal jugs. Use lengths of garden hose. Wired a 12v outlet by the fill and use a cigarette style plug. YOU MUST prime the pump first, but yours should do itself as it will be lower than the tank. As mentioned, get the cap that takes a garden hose.

I have this exact one and it will pump up into your truck bed if desired.

So, if you one of those garden hose adapters on your gray water tank outlet a short piece of hose to the pump and a longer piece of hose from the pump outlet to the blue tank up in the TV bed, is the pump OK basically holding back the pressure from a full gray water thank? Does the pump handle what would be gravity fed I assume somewhat large inflow without unexpected things happening.

Having the blue tank in the TV bed would certainly be handy instead of dragging it around the CG to the dump station.

I haven't used it expressly for your purpose. Some CG's don't allow you to run hoses to refill your fresh water so I do the 5 gallon pail with the pump thing. I imagine it would do fine for your needs.

For three years I have used the 12 volt flojet waste water pump which hooks to the trailer sewer outlet. I only use it for grey water and use it to pump into a 70 gallon tank in the back of the pickup. It doesn't take long to pump 70 gallons. I have used it for black water once but I would hate to have the pump plug up when using it for black water.

It has a fuse in the handle and will blow the fuse if you run the pump dry. Many people think they have burned up the motor when it is only the fuse.

Just mount a regular rv water pump to the blue tank and plug the pump into the tv. I would take all the screens etc out of the pump.

Have had exact same problem in the past with sewer discharge not easily accessible What I have done is use the sewer cap with garden hose hooked to outlet and always had enough water pressure to fill blue tank at front of camper. Little slow but cheap setup.
