New 5ver
We just purchased a 2013 325MKS. We tool it out on our first trip. I'm currently sitting in the trailer while writing this.
The question I have is this. Does the sink drain pipe that empties out behind the axles always need to be tied into a drain ? I was curious that if I leave the cap on does it fill the lube and then flow into my gray tank ? It only has one gray tank. When I dump the gray tank from the connection in front of the axles no fluids come out of the rear.
I going to put a 2" ball valve in the line to make sure it seals off. We spent the first night with it leaking onto the ground. The cap was a little loose.
Any ideas from somebody with a similar set up would be appreciated.
Thank you

Sorry for the spelling. Accidentally sent it before proof reading.

I'll be honest- I'm not sure what pipe/drain you're talking about. Are you able to take a picture and post it?

I have a feeling you are looking at your low point drain. Should be capped except for just that, draining system.

I'm pretty sure that I agree.

It sounds more like the drain for the fresh water holding tank to me. What brand of trailer do you own?

Any ideas why it might weep water for that first night?
"We spent the first night with it leaking onto the ground. The cap was a little loose. "
And, looks like a Coachmen - Chaparral - 325MKS based on model #.

Pic
When I turn the sink on the water runs out the line in the pic. It's a 2" line with a 4" cap. When I open the gray tank to dump it nothing comes out of that line just the line in front of the axles. That's why I think it's just a sink drain line , if that makes any sense. Thanks for the advice. Here's the pic.

Unfortunately, you pic didn't make it.
Was there just one? Or were there two? And what color was it?

There are 2 lines. One in front of the axles that I have already used dump grey and black. The rear line is the one I had questions about. The sink water runs out of it. Nothing comes out of the that rear line when I pull the grey dump valve open.

Yes, it's a Coachmen Chaparral. Thanks , what's the weep line ? I think I will still put a valve on it, it sucks to open the cap and have all that water run into the ground.

There must be another grey tank valve, somewhere.

That's what I'm thinking too. Look under the trailer for another valve. I'll bet you have two grey water tanks.

That's why this forum is so great, all the members are more than willing to help others with a problem. Some of the fifth wheel brands are notorious for placing the valve handles well out of sight under the trailer.
