Zoeneens - when you get ready to winterize you might want to pick up a short hose that connects to your drain outlet. you can insert the hose into the PVC drain tube. That way you don't have all the water sitting around your water heater possibly rusting the bottom.
My dealer advised me of this when we picked ours up. Probably one of the best things they told me.
I played with your pic a little. As stated, your valves are set correct for usage. (and you would do the opposite valve positions if you decide to winterize)
When the valve handles are parallel with the pipe, they are open. When the handle is perpendicular to the pipe it is closed.

The key on duel acs is the zone. Zone 1 is main cabin. Adj temp and fan speed usually auto. Then jump tp zone 2 and do the same. You can also turn off each unit. If you only want to cool one area. FYI TMI if there is large temp chng cool to warm heater/ac will kick in to balance air temp.

This is where I struggle. It makes absolutely no sense to me why the heater and the A/C would be on at the same time to balance. Regardless of temp change.
I have tried to adjust zone 1 and 2 to prevent the heater to kick in. It's really interesting that the main room thermostat is telling the controller it needs A/C and the bedroom thermostat is telling the controller it needs heat (or vise versa). I just laughed(out of frustration) when I saw both running at the same time.
