New Fifth Wheel City Water Not Working

This is the first RV for me and the first time trying to connect water, so I feel like I am making some classic error here. I attached a hose to the city water to make sure that water would work. That made water spray out around the hose, but nothing from sinks. So I looked for valves, no valves visible around or behind the city water hookup. I read to turn the hot water heater valves: Top open, Middle closed, Bottom open, so I did that, nothing changed. I read it may take a minute for the hot water heater to fill before anything to the faucets, so I left the hose connected for over 30 minutes, no changes. Someone suggested fill the fresh water tank first and use the pump and see if that will at least work. I filled the fresh water tank very easily, and turned on the pump which did not ever stop running..and now I only see a very small trickle from the faucets and shower. Also with fresh water filled, pump on, and hose attached to city water inlet, only very slight but steady trickles from faucets. Not sure if I am missing a valve somewhere or what? Also some water came from the sewer pipe (black water and grey water valves are still wide open), so maybe there is an overfill of the fresh water that is flowing from the main sewer line after i topped the fresh water tank off and attached city water hose? Hopefully thats all clear as mud.

Clean the screens on your faucets. Many times these will get plugged with construction debris. I would remove all screens and let the water run for a bit. This is common on new units.

Ooops, just read this is a 2001 unit. Try the faucet screens, if that doesn't work, there may be a winterization valve that has everything turned off.

The backflow preventer valve at the city connection is likely stuck.

In case it helps anyone later, there was a stuck backflow valve at the city water connection not letting water in.
