In NY if the well is used in a commercial setting it has to be tested and treated but I still carry drinking water mostly because I don't like the taste of tap water and good water makes good coffee.

Think about things before you do them make life easier not harder.

If your home water is provided by the town or city it more than likely chlorinated anyway so you are already exposed to "bleach" in the water.
