Newbie Question On Fresh Water Hose

Use the Regulator! Three weeks ago I didn't use it and when we got back late from a day out there was no water, I checked the camp faucet, it was turned off.......strange...so I turned it on only to find that my Potable hose had split under the pressure. Fortunately there was a Wally World within driving distance so I went to get a new hose!

Good idea to keep one of those hose repair kits, I didn't have one.

The neighbours had turned the water off, they said the shower from the split hose was quite spectacular

I use a pressure gauge (Home Depot) to check the CG pressure before connecting. 50 PSI or less I don't use a regulator. Most of the CG we visit have around 45 PSI, but several are near 100. While the PEX should handle that pressure, the installation is what worries me, especially with the many quality issues apparent in the RV industry. A regulator is very cheap insurance....

Hmmm. Maybe I need to rethink the "no regulator" issue. The last few campgrounds have had low pressure and I removed all restrictions to let us shower.

Thanks! I think I'm hearing from all to keep two of everything, because one will break or be lost at some point. First I need to get one of all necessities, then one of some really really wants, then another set of necessities. Owning a dollhouse is expensive! heehee, thanks to everyone!

I have these lengths: 4', 10', 25', 50'. Even have a 1' hose when a 4' is not quite long enough. The 50' is the flat fire hose type. Doesn't take up much room and have used it on occasion. Water pressure regulator, 90* elbow at the trailer connection.

I'm a neat freak in a way. I try to keep my trailer clean inside and out. Even goes with all the cables, hoses, blocks and connections. If it goes into a storage compartment, it gets wiped and dried off before storing.
