No hot water on electrical side

To date I have replaced the hot water element, and troubleshooted the the water heater plug in and still no hot water from the electrical side. Propane works well. I'm searching for ideas.

I'm sure all the brains converging on Goshen can fix this one for me.

About all that's left is the on/off rocker switch found near the burner tube and
the thermostat/hi limit which are located behind the rubber cover located somewhat
above the burner tube. These are labeled in the FAQ on how to change the element.
If the switch is bad or off OR the thermostat is bad or needs to be reset- these
will stop the electric side from heating.
Have you tried pushing the reset "buttons" found behind the black rubber
cover above the burner tube?
There are 2 places that say press to reset.
One side is the electric side and the other is the LP gas side.
I can't tell you which is which other than to say my 08 model the left side was
the 120v electric side.
IF the fusable link is burned out you can see that but you need to remove the
rubber cover first.
Be SURE to shut off power or unplug your trailer from shore power before
removing the rubber cover.

It's not the rest buttons. Those are working fine. I removed the cover to see what it was resetting and it was not tripped. I also removed the rocker on/off switch and will replace it with a new one tomorrow, if I can find one at the local rv dealer.

Have you checked your breaker in the inside panel to see if your getting 120v? Or if it is tripped?

Rugged, check out post #6 from this forum (and the rest of the entire thread). Your hi temp t-stat could be burned out. It acts like a fuse and when it burns out, you have to replace it.

Very common occurance

No Hot Water 2011 V-Lite 21WRS

Of course, all of this advice is under the assumption you have a Suburban brand water heater.

you know what, i took that plastic cover off last night and it looked fine. When i go home today, I will have another look at it, but I am not hopeful that is the problem. I removed the on/off switch and will replace that.

I will report back my findings.

edit: I do have the suburban water heater.

Put a meter on it, might look good but it could be defective. You've ruled out everything else.
