Object in toilet downpipe

I noticed this yellow disc in the toilet downpipe. I have 2 exact dometic 310 toilets in my Sandpiper 5th wheel. This disc is only visible in one toilet down pipe. Its about 3 feet down. Any ideas what this is and what to do about it?

The plumber said to his apprentice.

I would. It’ll wash.

When you get it out, send us a picture and description of what it is. Really curious.

Yup, just put on some rubber gloves, hook it with a coat hanger and snatch it out of there. In the future it will be a good topic for a campfire discussion. ...or if you're squeamish, hire "the guy" to do it for you.

Spend $2.99 at Harbor Freight and buy one of those "pick up and reach" things that operate by squeezing a trigger. Once you get the yellow thing out, wash or just throw out the grabber gizmo.

There is something similar in my Dometic toilet. Doesn't seem to affect the efficiency of the flush. I'd be curious to see if anybody knows what it is.

It could be the cutout made in the floor/top of the tank when the camper was being manufactured. You would not be the first I have heard of finding it in their tank.

It may be necessary to pull the toilet off to get it out of the hole in the top of the tank because it will be too large to pull up through your toilet.

Yes, just use rubber gloves to pick it up and throw them away.

If you are that squeamish about dealing with holding tanks and the human waste they contain that you are uncomfortable doing this, then perhaps camping is not for you.

X2
I would recommend hooking onto it while you can see it and have the opportunity. If it drops into the tank it could get much more messy to get it out. It almost looks like the bottom of a hole cutting bit but could be a toy like someone else mentioned.

What you are most likely looking at is a plumber or rather a person at the factory acting as a plumber using way too much ABS glue to glue what looks like a 45 fitting. ABS glue is that yellow that you see.

It could be the down pipe from the other toilet. Not sure of what appears to be holes in it but it looks like it is coming in on a downward angle.

I have the same ”thing”in my downpipe. After looking at it close, and using an inspection camera, I found, as said above, that was not an “object” but just the yellow glue used with ABS piping. Who ever installed the piping really overused the glue.

Sometimes makes me wonder how babies butt ever gets clean. Human, and pets
waste is a fact of life. Not pleasant but has to be dealt with.

Gloves? HA! Why worry about wasting a perfectly good glove when you will be reaching down there to your armpit? Just go for it and clean your hands and arm afterwards.

Full disclosure: I am a plumber.
