Part number for hot water heater element

I have 2013 3170ds Sunseeker with suburban water heater. I was told that the element can be purchased at Home Depot / Lowes . Looking for a part number or size.

are you talking about the electric heating element or the anode rod?

Dan has it in the FAQ section here:

http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ent-39334.html

Just be absolute positive you get one that is for 120 volt, and not 240 volt.

The stock Suburban heating element is 1440 watts (or 12 amps). You want to stay close to that wattage, as to not overload the circuit.

Part number is in my manual if not any rv place can give you the part number. This part number wouldn't necessarily match Lowe's or Home Depot. Probably better luck on amazon.

I bought an element at Lowe's. It didn't have an RV part number. If you can, just take your old one with you. It will be obvious which one you need. I had to buy a socket from Lowe's to remove the element. I had one the right size but its wall thickness made it too big to fit past the insulation jacket.

Original 1440watts
Replaced w/ 120v/1500w
$10-15 Lowes or H/D
It's only .5 amp different
