Parts Needed
Does anyone know where I can get the seals that are used where the low point drain caps screw on?? I seem to have lost one.

Try Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, etc. Should be a standard pvc cap. Take the one you still have as an example.

I don,t know what yours looks like but mine are just pvc caps that you can find at any hardware store or pvc plumbing shop. woops you said seals I bet the seals are just O rings you can get them at any Lowes or home depot

Look in the specialty hardware drawers in the fasteners aisle at HD or Lowes. It is just an o-ring.

They are Not Orings, they are seals just like on the input and output side of the pump!  Youroo! !

Low Water Drain Pics
Hope this clarifies?
Here is a picture of what I am looking for, however, after removing the two caps, it seems the cold water has the seal and the cap screws onto hard plastic threads, with the seal but the hot water drain has a rubber gasket on the end of it which you see with the caps off. Now I'm not sure the hot water needs a seal like the cold has?

Throw that seal away and replace it with a 1/2" pipe cap. Your choice of materials.
The only other explanation would be that the male fitting is not pipe but needs a seal for sealing straight threads????
Mine are both pipe threads. I remove when draining and have reinstalled them hand tight WITHOUT tape or any other sealer with no issues.

Yes that is the Seal,Dealer should have needed seal,same that is used on your Water pump! There is No need for the plumers tape on the threads,just the proper seals and those caps! Youroo!!

You are correct, the OEM seals are not o-rings. I replaced mine with o-rings and they seal just fine. The o-ring sits in the cap and seals against the end of the threaded tube.

You should be able to just screw on the ball valve referenced by Ford Idaho. If you decide to cut off the exiting fitting and replace it with and insert valve. That is what you should do. The pipe is PEX. It is not recommended to snip the clamp, pull out the fitting and put in a new one. Most recommendations for working with PEX state that the pipe should be cut with an appropriate cutting tool and then a new fitting be used. Also the common screw hose clamp should not be used - it has a flat spot and while they may work, this solution is prone to leaking. PEX specification calls for constant pressure clamps - either the crimp type that is currently there or there are people who say it is okay to use an automotive hose clamp like: https://www.amazon.com/Fuel-Injectio...ve+Hose+Clamps. Alternatively, you can use an insert clamp like a Shark Bite or the plastic versions. The issues with the crimp clamps are: you need to buy an expensive crimping tool and there is often not enough room to get the tool in and get a good crimp.
I've picked up this info based on the research I'm doing in prep to remove the whole house filter that FR put in my trailer and put in a pressure tank. I'll have to break some connections and make several new ones...
