Pink into black tank flush?

How are people pushing pink into the black tank flushes and the city water fill (assuming my winterization kit pulls the pink from the fresh water fill side of things)?

The Black tank flush is the one line that I don't try to get anti-freeze into. However, I do blow that line out.

To be honest it never dawned on me to put pink stuff into the black tank flush or for that matter even blow it out. For years I didn't do anything to that line and I either got lucky or the water in the line just drained into the black tank by gravity. Regardless I never suffered any damage. I just started blowing that line out three years ago.

I only think of it because we added a new black tank flush for our second black tank and it had a very wimpy looking line to it (and it runs most of the way across the camper).

I also just blow mine out for three years now and no issue, but you can make an adapter that goes on your outside shower hose and pump anti-freeze through it when winterizing.

I hook a hose from the docking station to the tank flush.

Can you explain that one to me? Like where you would have a water hose coming out of the camper?

I have hooked a hose to the outside shower and using an adapter connected to the black flush to get antifreeze in it.

The Tracers have the "docking station". It's where the water and cable get hooked up. There is also a shower in it. It uses a coiled hose and whatever end you want to put on it. I take the nozzle off and it's a standard garden hose fitting. I can run it to the tank flush.

That's a great tip. I never thought of trying that. When I winterize this year I going to give that a try. Thanks for posting.

For the city water fill, I removed the screen and pressed the button for the valve. That caused pink to fill the city water fill pipe. Prior with the low point drains I also pressed this button on the valve to drain the water out.
