Plastic Shower drain plug

Time to clean out the long lady hair from the shower drain. How do you remove the plastic drain plug? It just spins and I feel like I might break something if I pull to hard.

Thanks
Ron

I don't know if I have the same plug as you since you didn't post a photo, but on mine I just have to pull straight up. It takes a bit of strength but it pops right out.

We used to have that problem. We purchased a drain strainer that has small holes and sits in the drain with the plug removed. It catches ALL the hair and never again have we had problems with the drain clogging with the hair.

Any RV store has them

I wondered what that was!

This was in our kitchen drawer in our new Rockwood. Had no idea what it was! After reading your post I purchased a ShowerShroom on Amazon. Hope it fits.

The one we bought is more like the ones here:

3 Hair Snare Trap/Drain Tub/Sink-Shower Clog Strainer Pet Hair Catcher USA | eBay

But it does not matter what you get, there are many out there and I am sure they all work and you will be VERY happy with your purchase! We certainly are.

We have a ShowerShroom and it fits the tub/shower drain in our Wildcat Maxx.

Just measure your drain size and you can get them from Wall-Mart, K-Mart, most hardware stores, etc. They are usually a couple $$ or so. We tried the ones that cover the drain, but, were much happier with the one that fits down in the drain. You don't step on it or kick it off like the ones that sit on top over the entire hole.
