Plumbing pressure mod question

If I took a coil of 100' of pex and put a check valve on both ends and a quick disconnect for winterization removal could I build up enough pressure in the line to prevent the water pump from cycling so much? Or would this just make it work harder?

I think you would be better off installing an accumulator tank to reduce cycling. The cost is about $40-50. Although I see the Shurflo pictured below for as low as $35.

I installed the pictured accumulator and it made a world of difference. My pump cycles more normally and quieter in my opinion.

Several ways here to install that accumulator (we love ours).
I clipped out the whole house filter (useless IMO) and just PEX'ed in the accumulator in its place. We use the inline hose filters from WalMart for filtration.
