Potable and Fresh water tanks

Tomorrow I am buying a 2007 28DB work and play. My question is what does the fresh water tank supply and the potable water tank supplies? I am not new to the camping world, just never saw a potable water tank.

Aren't they the same? Both would supply the water to your taps, shower & toilet.

Hmmm. While the words are not perfectly synonymous, as it pertains to campers I would have thought they were the same thing. I'm intrigued that you have two "clean" water tanks and they are labeled differently.

I am not familiar with your rig, but is it possible that the fresh water goes to your shower, sinks, and commode while the potable water goes to a filtered tap specifically for drinking? Perhaps next to the kitchen faucet?

UPDATE.... Got my camper today. The two tanks are connected per dealership. They just use two fill ports to fill the two tanks quicker...

Been cleaning this camper all day, construction crew had it last. You know what that means...
