Pre Filter on Water Pump

Just got back from a short 2 day trip and was having problems with the water pressure. We also left the pump on for a least 30min with no water in the tank on the way home. Pump was dry and running when I parked the trailer. Filled up the tank, pump was running and no pressure. So I started researching new water pumps and figured I wanted a good variable speed pump to help with vibration and pulsating water issues.But decided before I buy that new $175 pump I should check the basics, loose fittings, clogged filter etc. This is what I found in the pre filter connected directly to the water pump.Yuk! Pretty disgusting stuff.Anyway, thought I would share, lesson learned- check those water filters.
(I also have a small issue with algae in the fresh water tank that the bleach solution obviously didn't fully take care of. gonna be doing that again here real soon.)
