problem with hose

We recently purchased a 2014 Salem 241 QBXL. Yesterday we hooked up our water for the first time. There is an unconnected hose in under the bedroom that has a valve. When the camper was connected to the city water, the water flowed out of the unconnected hoses. Used a hose clamp to connect the 2 ends, however the hoses were pinched. Any suggestions on how I can resolve this? Also can anyone tell me why there is a valved hose in under the bedroom when there is not a sink or water spickett in that area of the camper? Thank you

Is there a water filter in a drawer someplace?

Hoses are not long enough to connect to a water filter.

Are these hoses you are talking about inside the camper or outside under the camper?

Two unconnected white hoses come from the inside of the bottom of the camper to the outside. One of the hoses has a valve on it.

AHHH the one with the valve is a low point drain and the other is a fresh water overfill drain.

That makes sense, but when it was hooked to city water, the water continuously came out of the over flow hose.

Is there a valve that needs to be turned in the docking station?

City to tank.

Are you sure that you are hooked up to the city fill? You may be hooked up to the Fresh water tank and water is coming out of the fresh water tank drain or over flow.

If you are hooked up to the true city fill (I have two hose fills, one for city and one for the freshwater on board tank), your water pump back flow prevent er may not be working.
