Question about the Dometic 310 toilet

Ok, this is an embarrassing question, but here goes. What is the water level on the Dometic 310 and how does it compare to the 300? I had the 300 in my new camper and had it replaced by Dometic due to the smell issue that is described in another thread here. When I flushed it and let off the foot pedal, it would fill the bottom of the bowl with about an inch or two of water. I had my camper out this past week for the first time with the new 310 toilet, and it seemed to keep running and filled the bowl much more than the 300. I got worried that it would overflow and turned the water off to the camper. I would only turn it on when I needed it. But it occurred to me later, that maybe the new toilet maintains a higher water level than the old. Can anyone who has made the swap confirm this?

I should have done some trouble shooting and kept a watch to see if it finally did cut off or not but was too busy kayak fishing to bother.

I have a 310 and the water shouldn't keep running.
Sounds like you have debris in the valve allowing it to trickle in.
When I flush there's about an inch or less in the bowl.
