Question on water pump

Used the fresh water tank for first time this weekend (have city water at seasonal)

Turned pump on - ran a short bit and stopped - normal
Fresh water Tank was full
Hot water tank full
Turn faucets on - got water thru all of them - hot and cold
Flushed toilet - works good

Set up at campground

Turn faucet on in kitchen - pump kicks on
Good pressure for about five seconds
then the longer the faucet stays on the less and less water coming out until its just a trickle - doesnt matter whether hot or cold - same result
Pump is running whole time

No shower - took forever to wash dishes or flush/fill toilet every time

Turn faucet off in frustration and pump runs for about thirty seconds until it shuts off

Pump does not run unless you open a faucet and no leaks to be found anywhere inside or outside

Any thoughts???

Water faucet aerator screens clogged with debris?

Many here have reported plastic bits clogging the screens.
Also check the screen in the water pump bowl.

If you are having the same result with all of the faucets, it sounds like a restriction on the intake side of the pump. Maybe a kink in supply hose, screen plugged or even a bad pump. Somehow there is a loss in volume to or out of the pump.

X2 there is a very fine mesh screen in a strainer bowel attached directly to the pump. Sounds like it is gradually plugging.

make sure the vent on the tank is clean eliminating a vacuum and there is a screen on the pump that may be dirty.

Glad you found the problem and got it repaired. At least it will be ready for next season.
