R-Pod Water Heater SW6 DE will not work

I have a 2015 R-Pod 178 which has a Suburban SW6 DE Water heater. I can not get it to light on propane, but it is working on electric. When I turn the red switch inside on I hear 3 series of clicking sounds like it is trying to light the pilot light but it will not light.

I tried using a lighter and manually lighting the pilot while the clicking sound is happening and it lit, but went out as soon as the clicking stopped. This tells me that I am getting propane to the unit I assume.

I am sure that the propane is on, that there is propane, and that the water heater is full of water.

Has it ever worked for you?

You may want to clean the orifice and check the alignment of the electrode.

You may have air in your propane lines. This thread may help, and explain the lockout and such.

It has always worked fine on electric, but this is the first time I have ever tried to use it on propane. I will keep toying around with it and see if I can get it to work. Thank you all for the tips!

MJ, have the same issues on my 2017 Flagstaff I picked up 2 weeks ago. Was able to get by on electric on first trip out last week end. Refrig, stove in outside kitchen are downstream from water heater they work fine. The reset button will not move, it is stuck or broken. When switch is turned on, there is clicking but no gas smell. I had a limit switch burn out on previous unit after heater was turned on with little or no water in tank. I remember that the electric was on during dealer walk through. Propane was discussed but not demoed.
