Recaulking around kitchen sink

Hi, I have a Rockwood 2501SS. The kitchen sink had this disgusting sticky caulking around it. I scraped it all off and cleaned the area well. Is there a special kind of caulking to use or can I just use the same clear kitchen and bath sealant (silicone) I used in my house? Thanks!!
