Removing Bathtub

Is there a special way to remove the bathtub? I have a cracked water line behind it and want to fix asap. There is the vanity right beside it as well. I have a 5th wheel 2009 Grey Wolf 28ft one slide. Bathroom is small. I am hoping NOT to remove the vanity but that might have to go too. Thanks

A picture of how the bathtub mees the vanity wold help in answering your question. You probably have a wall surround above the tub that will have to be removed. It should be covering a flange that is screwed to the wall holding the tub in place. You need access from below or from an adjoining wall to disconnect the drain.

You should be able to remove the faucets in the shower and down below the floor from the basement and not have to remove the tub. Sure worth a try.

update: got the tub out WITHOUT removing the taps. There was only a few screws and metal brackets around the tub surround. The tub is really not a big thing, was thinking of making the tub bench (what goes under the bathtub) stronger. I am 6 feet, 250lbs. Not to sure if i would ever use it, but might as well just in case. Had to cut the caulking but all in all, it was a easy project. FOUND the leak in the pipe. It did have a crack, so i am going to replace who pipe with updated pex piping. Thanks again for your responses. Love the site too!
