Replace water tank in a HW276 pop up

I bought the HW276 last year and previous owner must have let water freeze which damaged tank and also fouled with green stuff. I have new tank now but need some help with installation. Looks eazy enough at first but it looks like the tubes for housing the wires for raising it will be in the way. Not sure how to deal with that with out damaging lift system. Any ideas?
Thanks Jackal
