Replacement lines for water pump?

I found a small drip in the elbow of my water line leaving the pump so I bought a metal water supply line from Home Depot to replace it. (It wasn't dripping until I started flexing the tubes a bit to get behind the pump to clean) After turning on the water and before I could get to the camper to check my progress, it was swamped. Any ideas why this happened and where I can get the replacement part? Has anyone used something else that works? The picture below is the line I need replaced and the shot of the setup. Those type of lines are notorious for leaking at the drop of a hat. Or movement of line. Also looks puffed up and ready to pop like a balloon, or not, hard to tell in photo. Regardless I would replace with PEX and fittings. I took all of that type of pressure pipe out of my rig. Suction side of pump is ok for that tube, pressure, not so, much.
