Replacing Water Fileter 21FBRS

I have been paranoid about the Water filter on my TT since I started reading about them coming off in these Forums. Next Wednesday, DW and I are planning to take off for a 5 day weekend that is absolutely needed. I started removing the filter, but had issues getting it unscrewed. I believe I have damaged the male end connection. Should I cut the fitting off and replace with another clamp? or would be better to remove the clamp at the T and work from there.

I consider myself pretty handy and have done many plumbing project in my home, but never worked with this Pex Stuff. i about to find a plumber as i do not want water leaking in my camper

thanks in advance

Buy a stick of PEX tubing and cut it with a PVC cutter (to make clean cuts). Buy two connectors and use them on each end where you removed the filter housing. Tip...take a cup of hot water to heat the ends of the PEX tubing when using the connectors. It will make life a lo easier.

I keep extra connectors and PEX pipe in the TT to aid those who have the same issue while out camping like I did. It will cost around $10.00 to remove the filter, but could cost major money to repair the damage for a filter malfunction.
