RhinoFlex for the 8529IKBS
My 8529IKBS has two sewer ports.
The forward port for the black & gray and the rearward for the galley.
Switching sewer hoses when dumping isn't ideal. Also during longer stays, I like to keep the grey valves open until the last day.
I wanted to try the RhinoFlex hose system so I purchased the 20' kit (two 10' sections) and the necessary end fittings and a "Y" to make a new hose connection.
I cut one of the 10' sections in half to make the connections from the RV ports to the "Y". The remaining section will go from the "Y" to the sewer connection at the camp site/dump station.
The RhinoFlex is a good quality product and I believe it is going to give several years of worthy service.
What I didn't like was how poorly they installed the removable ends on to the hose. Taking a few extra seconds during hose end installation would have solved the wrinkled/bent hose end to fitting problem. It would have been a catch all for debris. (see before and after photos)
I easily rectified the problem as the lock ring and the ends are easily removed for replacement or transfer without any tools. Twist on and twist off.
