rockwood water filter

We just bought a used 2011 Rockwood. The previous owner bypassed the water filter system. Have more owners done this and if so why? Just checking before I go to the trouble of finding the parts I need to hook it up.

Some just remove the OEM filter as it can cause low water pressure. Then it is recommended that you use an exterior filter if you are using water from an unknown source (new CG, etc).

by the way!!

I did on ours because the filter kept stopping up. The filter doesn't do anything but take out solids like calcium so it wasn't a big deal to me. I do use an in line filter on the water hose when I'm hooked up to water.

I haven't yet on our 2012 Rockwood but I'm going to leave the filter out be ause it's in a booger of a place to work on it and not much room to get a pan under it to catch any spillage.
