Roo Water Pump Questions and Fuse???
I noticed the other day, my Roo's water pump was not turning on. The light was on, but no one was home. So, I took my meter and found no voltage at the pump. I was like...hmmm. Then I remembered, when doing various electrical work, there was a fuse holder near my control panel. So, seeing that it was a purple wire at the pump, I went where my control panel is, and sure enough, a purple wire is hooked up to the fuse. And,of course, it was blown. Why the heck would FR hide the water pump fuse there?????
Enough ranting about hidden fuses, now to the water pump. Changed the fuse, and turn the pump on. Lights dim, but no pump noise. I could feel the pump try and turn each time the switch was turned on and off. So I took it apart, and sure enough, the motor was "frozen". Great. I jokingly said, nothing that a hammer won't fix. I hit the shaft with my screwdriver and now it turns like nothing happened. Should I replace this pump now that it is out, or should I see if this pump still has life??? Also, would it be practical and OK to put a self resetting circuit breaker for the water pump??
