Question Rv Rinser in Rockwood 8312 leaking water into trailer

My Rv rinser is leaking water into the trailer.

My husband hooked up the hose to the rinser on the trailer and saw water flowing out of the trailer. When we went inside the trailer the floor was covered in water.

The rinser is located behind the cabinet next to the bump out, we checked the connection on the inside and it seemed to be tight.

Any suggestion as to why we would be getting water in to the camper?

Thanks

That's a backflow preventer to prevent black water from the tank flowing back to the water source via the black tank flush.

Sounds like it's bad and needs to be replaced.
