Sawdust in shower
Like this:
Assuming this is not unusual - sawdust falling down from between the wall shell and the floor shell. Leftover construction debris. I don't think we have carpenter ants just yet...
Which begs the question: shouldn't that seam be caulked??

The seam should nt be caulked. If its sealed and moisture does get in there it will mold, They leave it open to the air so it drys out and not get moldy.

Thanks all! Good to know. It just looks like a leak waiting to happen, but I assume the floor liner wraps up and behind the wall liner.

The factory doesn't clean up after themselves when building trailers. You should see the mess when I replace the stereo, same goes with debris in the ceiling when I replaced a roof vent with a fan. Saw dust, screws, nails, wire, and staples are the norm. Wish it wasn't but it is.

Gross. I could never leave such a mess behind in my work, especially in a unit going to someone else. Take some pride!

The employees are paid by the unit and not by the hour. In order to earn a living they must push completed trailers out the door as quick as possible. This is why you'll find plumbing not installed, screws that aren't screwed into a solid backing, and other examples of poor build quality.

That doesn't sound good, but even so there should be quality control standards and pride of workmanship.

I agree but quality and pride take time and time is money to both the company and the employee on the assembly line.
Its why many staples and screws miss their mark.
Ever watch a video of an RV being assembled? These folks hustle! see this vid as an example:
