Shasta re-issue fresh water drain issues

Hello, Forest River Forum Members!

I am new to this forum and to owning a travel trailer.

My wife and I got a 2015 Shasta Airflyte re-issue late last October. It had already been winterized by the dealer.

We are preparing to head out for our first bigger trip and as I was de-winterizing I noticed an issue. As I was filling the fresh water tank water immediately began pouring out of the tube under the camper near the label "fresh water drain" (see three photos attached).

First photo is the side of the camper with the "fresh water drain" label in the bottom right corner of the photo.

Second photo is a close-up of the "fresh water drain" label.

Third photo is the tube under the camper (behind the "fresh water drain" label).

I tried to twist the black end piece in hopes of closing off that tube, but it just kept turning, never tightening.

Is there some way to stop water from flowing out of this tube?

Looks like you're missing the plug on your drain.. You should be able to pick up one at your local plumbing supply store!

I haven't seen one like that ever before. If it were me, I'd cut the line and install a real drain valve.

The low point drains on mine are similar to that, but with a plug in them. (That's what I took it from the OP's pic)... I agree though - they should have a valve on them for less issues...
