Shower assembly

I was in my shower seeing if there was something I could do about the lighting as its dark and my wife bought a stick on led puck lite. I started looking at where the panels join and I could see the silicone had pulled away. In the back of the shower is a 11" panel and when you lightly push on it the crack gets larger about the size of pencel lead and the panel will slide a little bit on the other panel. This can't be good let alone water proof unless someone knows something I don't like maybe they overlap where I can't see. Its a forest river T221RBXL about 2 months old and we have not even used the shower yet. Has anybody had a problem like this and how did they fix it. Just running a bead of silicone is not going to fix this. Thank You Mike

A lot of popup owners use this;
Marine Fast Cure 5200 Adhesive Sealant :3M US
on roof and body seams.

I think for now I'll take it back in under warranty. The stuff you mentioned looks like just the stuff to use when my warranty runs out. Right now I think I'll let the company that sold it to me fix it. Its an angled butt joint and I just can't see how they can make it strong with out it looking bad. I can smell trouble here.

Just FYI... that there are 3 "levels" of the 3M Marine Adhesive...

3200 - if you need a flexible joint and want a hope of removing it later
4200 - if you want to ensure that what you stuck on stays forever
5200 - if you want to hate yourself later if you ever have to do anything with the sealant

I called McMahonsRV in colton where I bought it and they said bring it in today, sunday no less so they can repair it. I can not say enought good about Chuck Sisler-sales mananger. He has bent over backwards for me to make the sale right. Anybody looking for an honest rv dealer this is the place.

Well I took my Trailer home and had to wait for an ok from Forest River to fix it and when I did McMahons took it in and put backing in the shower stall and did a fantastic job of sealing it.The service dept people are all great and very professional, The sales manager Chuck Sissler is a great guy and made sure this repair happened. I am very satisfied with my shower and feel its very watertight,better than the job from the factory.
