shower flooding Rockwood 256hw

i have a rockwood hw256 2009, and for the first time we filled the tank with fresh tap water, with the cold sink faucet open to let air out.
but one thing i noticed was pink water (winterized ) flooding in the shower floor.
i tried to empty the gray water tank, but not much came out. then tried the black water tank, but not much was coming out as well.
im just wondering what may have caused that to happen, i dont want to hit the campsite for the first time and have a mess.
what is the best way to de-winterize the tanks and fill them up?
or what may i have done wrong?
