Shower head Assembly

I have a 2000 Sierra, and found out today that the hot water knob appears to be broken. I turn on the water pump, and water comes out of the hot water knob area as well. I'm not too savy on how they work, so i was looking for a diagram so that I can see how to take it off and replace it. Any help would be appreciated.

Look for an access panel on wall behind faucet. May be in a cabinet. There you can unhook water lines and faucet retaining nuts.
You might be able to just change cartridge in faucet if you can find replacement.

if ur talking abt the valve itself, the old ones were just "o" rings inside. if u pull the valve handle, it may be easy to take the insert out. it's been years sense i went into one but it seemed that the insert just snapped in. the "O" rings are cheap. if it turns out to be more than that, u may find it cheaper to replace the faucet.

the ones on my '84 and 02 both worked like the old faucets (before washerless) ie the stem rises to release an "o" ring from the seat. they could easily be different today.
