Shurflo Water Pump

Trying to winterize today, I am stuck on trying to figure out how to add the antifreeze to the intake side of the pump. Nothing to screw off to hook my hose up to as far as I can see.

Please tell us what RV you have. It's usually best to put this information into your Profile and/or Signature (UserCP in the green bar in the top part of the screen).

If your RV doesn't already have one, they make a winterization kit for that purpose. The only other alternative is to pour the pink stuff into the fresh water tank (but it's going to take a lot of it).

Yea, they kinda boned ya by not putting a threaded fitting on the intake filter.
You will need to cut the hose between the screened intake filter and the fresh water tank and install a winterizing valve and hose.

You will also need two NPT to hose barbs like these (depending on your hose size).

So what was it you needed to do/know, in case someone else needs to know.

Still not there I'm afraid. Be sure to use the "Save Changes" button at the bottom when you're finished.

I figured out how to loosen the clamp a little on the inlet hose, that allowed me to spin off the whole filter piece. I was then able to hook my hose fitting right onto the pump. I guess I am screwed if there is any water left in the filter itself.
