I'd fill it up to the 1/2 or 2/3 and let it slosh around. It will soften things up hopefully and let them break up from the road agitation.

I do the Rid Ex treatment and travel to other campgrounds all the time. If I'm around 1/2 tank I don't dump it right away I let it go till next day to let the Rid Ex work.

In fact I'm doing this as this is being posted arrived at campground in Chattahoochee Fl around noon will dump tomorrow.

Never used the Ridx. Is 24 hours all it takes to do it thing?

If you read the Rid Ex directions they say a minimum of 24 hours but also the longer the better. I use Rid Ex as it is all natural and less expensive then the Tank Tech product. Rid Ex is one of the few that are not supposed to cause struvites. This is the hard rust looking material that can form in your black tank.
