We have a 23LB also and are having the same problem with the water heater working on propane but not electric. We haven't had time to look into it yet so we have been running it on propane the past 2 camping trips. DH thinks its the element but after reading this post, I'm wondering if that's what the problem is or something else.

Don't forget to check the breaker inside the electric distribution box/converter. Mine has a breaker specifically for the water heater element.

Hot Water tank

The problem was a burnt wire on the rear of the on and off switch at the tank. Used a jumper wire to make the connection and water heated again.
Replaced the switch all is heating with electric again.

Many thanks
