Suburban hot water not sparking

I tested my hot water tank before we left for our trip and it worked fine. When I arrived I tried to start and nothing is happening . No clicking. I have cleaned all connections and checked breaker. Light is on in the control panel. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

You do have propane gas, and it is turned on? I know it sounds simple, but it happens where people forget this step.

You may need to light the gas for your stove first, to help bleed any air out of the propane system first. This also makes sure that the propane is working.

The water heater system will lock itself out after failed attempts to light the gas (which it may be doing if there is air in the lines). If it locks out, you need to turn off the rocker switch inside, wait a little bit, then turn it back on.

Start with the basics above first, and see if that helps before moving on to the harder things.

Its possible it cut out during the test you mentioned. Have you tried the reset button?

There is a troubleshooting guide for the Direct Spark Ignitor heaters on page 22 of the following downloadable link by Triguy:
