I have the suburban sw6de also and it doesn't want to light. The trailer belongs to a friend and I just moved in temporarily and can't get the heater to light.

The electric heating element switch is broken and just flops up and down so I want to run it on propane but it wont light.

The reset light on the D.S.I. switch (inside the trailer) is lit all the time.

Any ideas what might be the problem?

Propane tank full?
Reset button out? (The DC one is on the right)

Hi, wow, this is amazing...I'm blown away by the speed of the reply, almost like you got an intuition, posted the answer before I asked, lol. Thank you!

Ok, I can take pictures if necessary.

When I feel the propane tanks they feel about half full and I have plenty of propane to run the stove. I can fill them if that will help you trouble shoot.

Ok, I pushed both reset buttons and nothing changed, the D.S.I. light is still on.

Any suggestions?

Also, I'm plugged in to AC Power if that matters in your thinking.

Turn OFF the water heater switch and wait 1 minute.
Try again.

If still no light after 3 attempts try to see if you smell gas out there.

If no gas, could be several things (all require good mechanical skills and access to parts).

If you smell gas, check the flue for bug's nests.
Blow it out with compressed air or a garden hose.

You said, "Blow it out with compressed air or a garden hose."

That did it, now heating up water for a nice shower.

Thank you and best wishes.
